Built to take advantage of railway travellers and designed by the architect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stroudlocalhistorysociety.org.uk\/people-places\/people\/bucknall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Benjamin Bucknall<\/a>, Pauline will relate some of the many phases the hotel went through and the changing patterns of the buildings which once surrounded it.<\/p>\n<p>She will also throw light on the life and works of Benjamin Bucknall &#8211; well known as the architect of Woodchester Mansion. Pauline\u2019s work was used in extensive research which gained The Imperial Hotel its Grade 2 listing.<\/p>\n<p>Copies of Pauline\u2019s newly published book Stroud\u2019s Imperial Hotel and its Neighbours will be on sale by the author.
