Summer Programme 2019:  Our summer programme is in the course of being finalised. We have a visit booked to Westwell Garden, near Burford on June 27th. This is one of the most beautiful gardens in Gloucestershire and rarely open to the public.

Visits are also being arranged to Kings Cross to see the striking new canalside development with its amazing modern architecture and Llanthony Priory Seconda at Gloucester, recently restored to a very high standard while Tim Mars Is planning another of his legendary trips to Newport. And there is more in the pipeline awaiting final confirmation including our entry for Heritage Open Day.

Events Diary: We have talks throughout the year, supplemented by visits in summer and a special Christmas event each winter. Many of our visits are to buildings not otherwise open to the public. Note that the default Diary only shows future events – for previous events follow the links lower down the page.  If few or no events are listed below it will be because we are finalising the new season’s programme (see notes above).

Lypiatt Park for Heritage Open Day

September 10, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

We are pleased to announce that once again we will have our Heritage Day Opening at Lypiatt Park, thanks again to the Chadwick family’s generosity.

This is a unique opportunity for members and others to come and see the late, world famous sculptor Lynn Chadwick’s sculptures displayed in his glorious parkland setting, many still positioned where he originally sited them.

The Sculpture Trail will be open from 2.00pm to 6.00pm and admission will be free, pre-booked ticket only. Application for tickets can be made on an application form available from the Stroud Information Centre (in the Sub Rooms, Stroud). The entrance will be at the Bisley gate, not at the Lodge, and will be sign posted.
